Need help to become a Golf Pro.?

Hello i am currently 18(19 on friday) and am a scratch handicap golfer. i have been told that i should take my PAT test to ofically become a pro golfer. does anyone have any other suggestions on what else i can do to help this happen. i was told to do this it cost alot and you have to play two rounds of 18 back to back and shoot 78 or better.
