How much does it cost to rebuild a 17 feet concrete chimney that has 4 feet above roofline and 13 feet below?

I just had this done. My chimney guys ground out all the old mortar, Replaced all the flashing and caulked it, Tuck pointed all the brick, replaced 4 bricks, and put up a new chimney cap for 1700.00. I have three flues so the cost could rise depending what kind of cap you need. My house was built in 1957 for reference. I did not need a permit but you might consider one just to protect yourself from hack work. I got 5 estimates.
